New at Fumex GmbH – Jeaneth is already an important pillar of the team
In February, Fumex GmbH welcomed Jeaneth Andres as a new colleague in the office. With her many years of experience in sales, technical products and customer contact, she has quickly become an important part of the team. She describes her first few months as some of the best of her working life.
Jeaneth says: “This is genuinely one of the best jobs I have ever had. I really enjoy going to work.”
From Sweden to Germany
Jeaneth originally comes from Sweden, but has spent most of her adult life abroad. She first lived in England for several years, before later moving on to Germany.
“We actually only intended to stay for a maximum of two years, but by now I have been living here for more than 20 years,” she says with a laugh.
Today, she feels at home in Germany, but Sweden is still close to her heart. She has a summer house in her former home country, where she likes to spend time in the summer and sometimes also over Christmas.
“That is where I get a little bit of that Swedish feeling,” she says.
A varied role at Fumex GmbH
At Fumex GmbH, Jeaneth works in internal sales. The role is varied, and she describes herself as someone who likes to help wherever support is needed.
She says: “I really do a bit of everything. There is almost nothing I don’t do. One moment I’m working on a quotation, the next I’m helping out in the warehouse. That suits me very well.”
Before Jeaneth joined Fumex, she worked in sales for many years, including with a focus on the Swedish market. In recent years, she sold microchips and other technical components – experience that has given her a good understanding of both technical products and the needs of field sales representatives.
“I know how important it is to get good support when you are out selling. That someone replies quickly, helps and makes sure customers get what they need. I bring that understanding with me into this role.”

The variety appealed to her
When the opportunity at Fumex came along, Jeaneth felt that it was time for something new. She already knew Managing Director Karima Kuschel and became curious when she heard about the role.
“I felt like doing something different. Then I had the chance to meet the team, and it immediately just felt right.”
One of the things that particularly appealed to her was the variety. After many years in more specialised sales roles, Jeaneth appreciates being able to work broadly, learn new things and be part of day-to-day operations in different ways.
“For me, it is worth a great deal to have a job where you feel comfortable and have fun. I really enjoy going to work.”
The forklift licence became an unexpected highlight
There was one thing Jeaneth had not expected when she started: that she would get a forklift licence.
“That was probably the funniest thing I have done so far. I would never have imagined that I would one day get a forklift licence, but it was great fun.”
As the team in Germany is small, everyone needs to be able to lend a hand wherever help is needed. So when goods need to be received, moved or shipped, Jeaneth can also step in and help in the warehouse.
“I have always been someone who gets involved where needed. Even if something is not in the job description, you simply do what needs to be done.”

A small team with close collaboration
In the German office, Jeaneth works together with Karima Kuschel and Markus Fiebelkorn. The field sales representatives are based in different locations in order to be closer to customers. It is a small team, which Jeaneth describes as both pleasant and effective.
“I really like the small office. It feels familiar and works very well.”
She also appreciates that her colleagues are helpful and that there is a sense of security within the team.
“Everyone is incredibly helpful. If I am working on an enquiry and do not know exactly what the customer needs, there is always someone I can ask. That gives you confidence.”
A lot of new things to learn
Fumex’s product area was new to Jeaneth when she started. Local exhaust ventilation, laboratory environments, airflows and all the product abbreviations – there is a lot to familiarise yourself with. But that is also part of what she enjoys.
“It is fun to learn something new. I still have a lot to learn, but every day I learn a little more.”
Looking ahead, she is looking forward to becoming even more confident with the products and being able to take on even more responsibility in customer dialogue.
“I want to learn as much as possible so that, in the end, I can feel truly confident. The goal is to be able to read an enquiry and quickly understand what the customer needs.”
She is already an important support for the team in Germany – both for the field sales representatives and in the office.
“I want to relieve Karima and Markus as much as possible, support the sales representatives and help customers quickly. Then I feel that I am really contributing.”

Settling in well from the very beginning
After her first few months at Fumex, Jeaneth is glad she took this step. She describes the workplace as helpful, warm and uncomplicated. A place where people support one another and where her efforts are appreciated.
“I get a lot of positive feedback from my colleagues. They are happy, I am happy, and I feel comfortable with them. It really feels like a perfect match.”
