Fumex AB acquires Jan Plymoth AB
On 30 September 2026, Fumex AB acquired Jan Plymoth Fabriksförsäljning AB. Following the acquisition, Plymoth becomes a subsidiary of Fumex AB and will continue to operate as a separate company under the Plymoth brand. The acquisition is part of Fumex’s long-term strategy to develop its business and expand its offering of air extraction and filtration solutions.
Fumex and Plymoth develop products and systems for air extraction and filtration. The companies have partly complementary product ranges and international distribution networks, creating opportunities for future collaboration.
“Plymoth has extensive experience in the same field as Fumex, and our businesses complement each other in several ways. We see opportunities to benefit from each other’s products, expertise and international distribution networks over time. At the same time, it is important for us to build on Plymoth’s existing business and relationships,” says Maria Lidström, CEO of Fumex AB.
The acquisition coincides with the retirement of Plymoth’s founder, Jan Plymoth, after 40 years with the company.
“I am proud of what we have built together with our employees, customers and partners, and it feels good to hand over the company to a long-term owner like Fumex,” says Jan Plymoth.
Plymoth will continue its operations from its headquarters in Traryd, Sweden, under its existing management and the Plymoth brand.
