OceaniaFumex has had a steady development since 1994. During the 26 years, we have increased our growth 24 times. The exceptions are 2008 with the financial crisis and now the pandemic year 2020. But still, we have many reasons to celebrate!
2020 has not been ordinary in any way, shape, or form. We entered the year with high expectations, as we broke our record in 2019. And we had an excellent start, with continued growth and high performances. Then Covid-19 hit, and nobody knew how it would affect us, our customers, society, and even the world. Today we are happy to say that we have done well.
– We saw a slowdown in spring and many ups and downs during the remaining year. Despite these obstacles, we have managed to make our second-best result ever! Our employees have never had to worry about the next working day; we are very thankful for that, says Anders Hedlund, CEO at Fumex.
At the Skellefteå facilities, our product development has continued to move forward. Our mantra is that new solutions must be useful, so we have listened to our customers about their needs.
– Having good relationships with your customers is not only crucial for business, but product development and innovation as well. They are the ones using your products on a daily basis, so they know what to expect every time. In 2020, we released new products that we hope can set a new business standard, says Anders.
To conclude 2020, it has been about managing what is possible and making small yet impactful changes.
– Our priority has been to guarantee the best service possible, despite a pandemic. It’s about doing a little better every day and seeing opportunities instead of problems. I think that is why we have had such a good year, Anders continues.
In 2021, Fumex is planning for another stable year, depending on how the pandemic is playing out.
– We will have plenty of time to continue improving in 2021, but we also have a high level of preparedness for ups and downs. One thing is for sure, we still have much work to do, and if there is one thing we learned in 2020, it is that a safe working environment and clean air still is a priority, Anders concludes.
For over 45 years Fumex has focused on providing industries, laboratories and other workplaces with a clean, healthy working environment. Today we do so on a global scale.
Back when we started our journey, there was little knowledge about how harmful airborne gases and particles affected workers. Thus, there were few restrictions telling us what we could do, let alone were bound to do. We just knew that we wanted to ensure workers’ health, and that we had the business capacity to do so.

Today, the fast-moving world we live in is hard to keep up with at times, for all of us. New techniques, materials and chemical compounds are defined every day, affecting our lives, environment and future. Rules and regulations must adapt to these new circumstances, and we must comply and follow their lead.
“New materials hit the market long before there are any guidelines for how to safely work with them. But that doesn’t mean we have to wait for these guidelines to know – and to do – what’s right.”

Our sincere advice to you is; Be wise, read up on new things that may be part of your guild. Share the information. Use your protective equipment, whether it’s personal or bound to a

are the employer, take care of your employees.

The ErP is a directive from the European Union regarding energy-related products. It was passed as a directive during the year of 2009, and four years later it came to fruition. The purpose of ErP is to raise the standard of the whole supply chain, from design to production and usage, and thus reduce energy consumption in the member states of the Union.
At Fumex, we are responsible for our own production and making sure that every energy-related unit is designed and manufactured with the ErP as a minimum requirement. That is why we, after over 40 years in business, still work with local suppliers and design products in house.
Today, after analyzing the global landscape and increased emissions, we are more dedicated than ever to keep developing products and helping our customers reduce their carbon footprint – both inside and outside the Union.
To us, the ErP and CE marking is not a goal to reach, but a foundation to start from in order to become even better as a company and as your partner.

The Fumex Team
The Fumex CMF is a cleanable mobile filter unit with built-in fan and top mounted extraction arm for the cleaning of dust laden and polluted air in ventilated full-scale workshop environments. The filter unit has been developed according to ISO 15012-1 for welding safety products.
FUMEX TW & TWG are industrial welding and grinding tables for handling smoke, dust, and particles during welding and grinding work. They remove harmful substances directly from the operator’s breathing zone.
